Prettypatch at the fair.

Saturday was a busy day. After driving down from London Friday night, I had to get up early to set up my stall at the winter warmer craft fair in Bristol. I've been to a lot of craft fairs over the last year and have learnt not to expect too much. The amount you pay for a stall does not necessarily determine how well turned out the fair will be and of course the elements play a big part in the success of the fair!

Prettypatch did well and interestingly it was the dinosaur range that proved most popular. What did I do when I got home? I ordered more dinosaur craft bits of course!

Winter Warmer - Craft Fair

It's that time of year when we crafty people get to work like Santa's little helpers and fill our kitchen tables (and floors) with our wonderful crafts. Yes it's craft fair time and here's the one I'm going to.....

Aye Aye captain

This stormy weather makes me want to make more sail boats. Now I know how Noah must have been feeling, although I'm not sure how many animas will fit on this little cutie!!

Hearts, hearts and more hearts!

As you probably know by now, hearts feature quite a bit in the world of Prettypatch so I thought I'd share my cute heart canvas wall set. Who could refuse these charming little love hearts on their bedroom wall?!?

Working in the fresh air

It's so nice when you can do your art work outside and even better when you can do it right by the river :-)

From Padstow to Prettypatch

Sailboat and beach hut

My inspiration - Padstow

My childhood summer holidays were spent in Padstow, North Cornwall. I have so many happy memories of this beautiful harbour and many of the shops are still the same as they were 20 years ago. Love it!

Many of Prettypatch's art work is based on the seaside and I like to think Padstow is my inspiration with all the wonderful sailboats and nearby beach huts on show.

Spreading the love (hearts) outside

I love to watch hangings gently blowing in the wind, I find it so relaxing - so here are my outdoor heart hangings, waiting for the wind!

I love the green heart, it blends in so
    nicely with the trees.

Hanging hearts

My dad gave me some plastic hearts he made using a heart shape mould and some left over plastic from his work. I drilled a hole in them, painted them and taa daa....heart hangings have been made, spotty of course!

Love hearts

I found these cardboard hearts so thought I'd "prettypatch" them and turn them into heart magnets

Spots of course!!

Ok, they're not meant for the radiator but we have an annoying hidden fridge so this will have to do!
